I have discovered, and I hope this helps, I need to sit tall, not back. Sitting tall allows my seat to move with the jump of the stride, sitting back stops the seat from swinging and is like hitting the brake. Yes. This is the way. It can also drop their back and interfere with them if you sit back!

It's everywhere, so I haven't been jumping in. Those horrendous videos explain a lot of what we see in the "top" horses. I'm sure most are not abused to that degree, but the fact that we see SO many "top horses" doing the leg snapping, double tapping "piaffe and passage"...
