I am sure that there are people that would disagree with me, but at the end of the day, it's my horse, my money and above all, my self worth that matters the most. It sounds to me like you handled it well, and I would have done the same thing if I was uncomfortable with the way things were going.

I know your arena situation hasn't necessarily changed recently but my point is that they are often different at shows (sometimes worse but sometimes better) than at home. My horse is often better at shows because there are so many other horses and people around to protect him from the scary stuff....
