Re: May the horse be with you. And June
I agree with your post Chisamba. To address your earlier mention of working eq - yes for sure some people do it badly too! I struggle a bit ethically with riding my horses at times. Maybe partly because I'm not 100% sure I'm doing it right. Kelo, he looks and sounds like he's becoming a nice horse. ...

Re: May the horse be with you. And June
Thanks Tanga, that is all very useful! I did read it and had a ride afterwards. Definitely setting Ding up more before I ask for he 1x tempis with a bump of the legs and a jiggle with the reins helped a lot. He's always been a slow twitch fibre type horse. It really was the same for walk - passage. ...

Aleuronx, those photos are beautiful!! We are still summer with some hot afternoons. We've finally moved. I think I did over 20 moves with the horse float, as we had about 4 tonne of split wood and 30 bales of hay and lots of outside stuff, like my working equitation equipment. The most stressful wa...

I tend to agree to take MM Blob. Only because you really want to assess the instructor to make sure they are what you want. I've become more fussy as I've gotten older as to who I get lessons from. They really have to suit you and your horses. RP - if in rehab, you want an instructor that understand...

I agree with Tanga, and I do find if my horse is getting resistant it's because I'm not releasing and I have too much of a hold.
