Re: Rein-Aids

Luckily, I do not ride with piano hands. But, I do think I sponge the reins more than I should, and my trainer is always telling me to close my fingers. I am working hard to lose the memory reflex of sponging the reins. I do leave my pinky finger quite loose. I need to remember to close it, not tigh...

What about the rodeo rider piece of equipment? Anyone using this? I have very little time to actually exercise, full time job, house, 2 horses, 6-7 days a week at barn for a good 4-5 hours....by the time I get home at 9:00 pm - I'm just too tired to think about popping in a video and working out.......

My last dog did get cranky and more snippy as he aged. His health was failing, as well as, his vision and hearing. Taking her to the vet to rule out pain, vision, etc. is a good idea. If they don't inhabit salt water, why not salt the lagoons or water around areas that are highly populated? Ok, kind of sounds dumb after I typed it, but they need to do something to protect any resort area guests.

I now have no desire to visit FL - well, maybe to take a clinic at Lynn Palm's .

If good feet and a smooth ride are important, look at an Andalusian. My mates trot is unbelievably smooth! She goes barefoot, and is a nice for me. She's around 15.1 or 2.

Since we both are green she's a bit of a struggle for me, but that's not against the bred just our experience.
