Lee was opposed to breaking up the Union, but then went on to fight for his state.

This thread reminds me of why I think paying someone to clean our house is a brilliant idea! I need to get on a regular schedule with this, rather than my once or twice a year sporadic appointments. We're busy, and cleaning the house is a necessity, not a priority, so the extra stuff rarely happens...

Belts look great, but every time I wear one with a dress to work I'm regretting it by lunch. It's an endless loop of holding my stomach in (which is laughable), no matter if it's a loopy, decorative belt or a stretchy belt.

My mother's hip replacement went extremely well. She did all of the rehab (needed because she'd been limping and accommodating it for 3-4 years at that point, plus still running on the sore hip) and is back to riding, with much better hip and leg position than pre-surgery.

I can see lightly toasted macadamia nuts working. Since it was the sum total of our dinner, I served it over a bed of lettuce with hard boiled egg. All elements worked great.

The time saving for me is in cooking dried beans, pulses, and anything like rice or potato-based stews. Basically, I get home around 7/7:30 and have dinner ready 30 minutes later.

Poor mare. She sounds extremely distressed. Can you give her ulcer guard for the next week or so? If her bloodwork, etc checked out fine, I'd introduce her to the herd tomorrow. She's in too much distress and has shown a tendancy towards self harm (for me) to hold her to a quarantine period.
