One thing I've found that has helped tons is to count the beat of each gait. This is a great reminder. I find it hugely helpful for the walk (where we can be very tense), but it helps in all gaits. I agree, exvet. All of the canter work will play to his strength as you go up the levels. His trot continues to evolve nicely, too.

I think there will be a lot of experimentation across settings as people figure out what is appropriate and then review those decisions + adjust as necessary. At least I hope people will be open to adjustment/improvement as more is known!

I'm always amazed at how reasonable horse vet bills can be for these sorts of things. It is obscene what I spend on my dogs for so little (ex. vet does not come to my home!).

Rooney, I've heard very mixed opinions of how great Ansurs are for different horses. I quite like the saddles myself, but I also know people whose horses have gotten quite sore from them. It might depend on the horse, the rider, the supplemental pads, etc.
