Re: Get some spring in your step - March/April Goals & Progress
I have had a bit more time to spend with Kyra the last couple of weeks. Her BFF that she has been boarded next to for oh, 12 years, was moved to a different part of the farm...out of site and almost out of hearing but not quite. I was a bit apprehensive...not that I could do anything about it...that...

Agree with Nikiwink. Put a notice up requesting return. I am not shy about checking out all the stations in the tack room if something of mine walks away.
Truthfully though, it is usually because I forgot to put it away or misplaced it

My mare has been evil lately but I haven't noticed her in season, I think it is just the Spring sillies. She has been taking off when I turn her out, most often before I have officially let her go. Yes, the tail bag definitely helps. Kyra's tail is gross and peed on if I don't braid and bag it in the winter...especially if she is wearing a blanket with a tail flap :P . Diet wise, since she was on stall rest and not much pasture...maybe she needs a boost of Vitamin E? My mare's tail is very thick and long. In the winter I always put it up in a tail bag. Very cool ideas. I like the resin bracelet. My horse is white and while still very much alive, preserving her white hair in some form without it getting soiled will be tough. The resin bracelet solves that.
