I have an opportunity to ride in a clinic with Bill Woods in the spring. I am not familiar with him and wondered if anyone here has any experience to share? I have been told that he is kind, classical, and has a great sense of humor. You can PM me if preferred.

I just received two M. Toulouse dressage saddles from SmartPak on trial. They're the Aachen and Alyssa models with the Genesis adjustable tree. I rode in the Aachen today briefly, and my first impressions are favorable. Does anyone here have more long-term experience with these saddles? I've read th...

Re: High-neck turnout blankets/sheets?
I love the Rhino ones because the high neck coupled with the Wug-type chest closure creates a very nice fit, with less pulling at the shoulder in my experience (depending on horse's build, I'm sure). I bought the SmartPak brand, high-neck version, for my new mare. Traditional chest closure, so I wil...

My trainer's policy is $100 per day + expenses split among riders. Which seems totally reasonable... except the part about... 500/weekend + expenses for riders going alone or with only one other rider. So, that caused me some sticker shock and now I'm feeling like that is way too expensive to go sh...

I think the risks are different for your BO, as the colt is obviously with his dam and another babysitter... but all of the horses belong to the same person, yes? Introducing a strange horse into that mix is the first thing to think about. Having your mare in with a potential baby-daddy is the next...

Part of my concern is that while the colt is only 5 months old now, he will continue to mature until he's gelded. So a non-issue at present could very well turn into a disaster.
