Re: You know you're getting old.......

Oh, and I forgot a couple of things. One is I lost 63 pounds and personally I think it was due to terrible, awful hospital food. The other thing is I lost a lot of my hair and my Primary Care Doctor said it was due to stress. I hope it grows back. Well, one more thing. I think hospitals should prepa...

I think you should give it a great deal of thought and then do what your heart tells you. Being 70 has opened you to health problems you never knew existed. Probably like me you wonder where the time goes. You ask "How did this happen?" So you're at the point in your life that it is more a...

Re: What is it about life that surprises you the most?

A good thing in life that surprises me is how much I love Miss A. Sometimes I cry when I think how she has helped me get past roadblocks and tough times. And how she has built my confidence, both in the saddle and out of it. Yesterday I was in the left turn lane when some Ahole zooms from behind me...

And the passage of time accelerates as one gets older... One thing that constantly surprises me is that I'm still so naive about how flaky so many people are. What is it about life that surprises you the most?

For me it's how fast time passes. Well, it seems like yesterday I was a riding fool. Really, has that much time passed? Right now I am barely able to walk and get around. To me, right now 35 years ago practically seems like yesterday.

I am finally able to write a bit about my Spinal Stenosis journey. It started last June with my left leg burning. It burned like a bad sun burn and I would put ice packs on it to relieve the burning. I did go to my doctor and he said it was a pinched nerve. I got a prescripton for Gabapentin and aft...
