i had 2 cats. when 1 died, the remaining cat became (i thought) very clingy & needy. so i got him a kitten, he was horrified! appalled!
he wasn't telling me he was lonely, he was telling me how happy he was to be the only cat
it took him quite a while to adjust to having a buddy....

rosie b, i think everyone who posted said shirrine's riding was better than her trainer's.
that's hardly a personal attack.
and i repeat, this is the training forum. if you post videos here, people are gonna criticize them.

this is the TRAINING FORUM, ffs-- of course people will disagree as to training methods.
calling another poster 'not nice' or a bitch is uncalled for.
i think this thread has gotten way away from discussion of training-- too bad;
a missed opportunity for a RESPECTFUL exchange of ideas

in the past, it was assumed that if video was posted in the training forum, comments/criticism was wanted. if not, the video got posted in the observation lounge. imo, the trainer'video was a perfect example of 'how to create a leg-mover' --restrict the horse in front, then use leg/spur to energise ...

the shank on the curb bit is horizontal much of the time, which give the impression that the pony is being ridden on the curb, rather than the snaffle. maybe the tack needs some adjustment?
