They use something as simple as cotton balls in racehorses' ears........................you could desensitize her to them (or whatever you opt for) previously so she doesn't associate them specifically with heavy weather coming in.

Had the 2nd shot on Wed, 3-24. My arm felt like a swollen log that night, but hard to differentiate between any other reaction and staying up until 2:00 am that night and 1:00 am last night. LOL. Gone hiking tomorrow!!

Rip is fairly along in his training so he can go from half steps to medium trot or WT in lateral work like SI or HI. HI transitions are more difficult but we do them a good bit. We're on the waiting list in WA state and so far it's living up to it's name......We're 1B (over 65). I was watching a news story the other night about signing up for vaccines (mentioning many of the same problems as noted above). It was rather striking how it matched up with voting rights issues.

IMHO, any instructor that would have a child handle/ride an animal that isn't safe (beyond the usual caveats) needs to be left behind. That is not good judgement.
