I'm not sure I'm anyone's idea of inspirational breakfasts ;) Breakfast is generally on the move from run to house to train to office, or run to house to barn. Over 3 hours, post-run, I'll consume 20-32oz water, cheese stick, 15oz water, espresso, and on long run days (10+ miles) I'll add something ...

It's not a "pony" trot, just the trot you get before you loosen up and get moving :-) There's nothing at all wrong with that! Every horse (and human) is different. I'm a firm believer we should adjust for those differences. My dearly departed eldest mare used to warm up with a loose walk, ...

Belts look great, but every time I wear one with a dress to work I'm regretting it by lunch. It's an endless loop of holding my stomach in (which is laughable), no matter if it's a loopy, decorative belt or a stretchy belt.

Fortunately britches stay up, or riding would be miserable!

My mother's hip replacement went extremely well. She did all of the rehab (needed because she'd been limping and accommodating it for 3-4 years at that point, plus still running on the sore hip) and is back to riding, with much better hip and leg position than pre-surgery.
