Re: Dental Question

this is all new information to me. Learning a lot a second opinion from the vet school or someone well experienced would be valuable to get you information you can count on. Not having a good working relationship ( communication) with your vet is not helping if it is some other autoimmune or contact...

Re: The strawberry rant

our local strawberries will be showing up in the next week or two. I always go to the you pick fields. They usually have a pre-picked supply and some of the larger farms have corner stands in the neighborhoods. I wish the season were longer, the only good berries available. but you are right, it see...

Re: More horse shopping, anyone? (Tsavo?)

well I will be the dissenting voice Trevor is waaaaay overpriced I see a pudgy flat moving barely training level horse who appears to have a bit of a sour attitude, reading his ears. the rider is really doing a lot of hand work to work him ( spread hands uneven) and that downward walk transition is ...

Re: Scotland vacation. Paddock boots or sneakers

I would not take paddocks, when traveling everything should be as useful and practical as possible.

Footwear should be the best comfort possible for long days

I think your walking shoes are going to be the most all-purpose and sneakers are great for the indoor stuff as well as the flight

Re: Scotland vacation. Paddock boots or sneakers

what are you doing? If you are doing walking/ hiking out in the environment, you need proper hiking shoes/ boots, which should be waterproof as well. I was surprised when trail walking in Yorkshire how much bare stone there was. If your walking shoes are not the kind you would use for trails, recons...

Re: The 13 year old lightbulb

I was constantly changing light bubs in my old place, I suspect it had more to do with crappy wiring than the light bulbs themselves. I have been in my current place since August and no changes yet. I bet I wont need them for a while.

Re: deworming nursing cat

Pyrantyl is safe and ascarids are almost guaranteed in neonates. I think 2 weeks is fairly young but I guess each vet chooses their own protocol, particularly if a client has a crowded, challenged or breeding situation. 6 weeks, when kittens first come to the clinic, was the earliest we did. we woul...

Re: Pysanky anyone? (Ukrainian Easter eggs)

I use to, started when I was in high school. I remember the frustration of making a mistake. I love your horse design. I enjoyed making roosters. I never emptied mine, they will dry over time, though you have to rotate the egg to keep the yolk from drying adhered to the shell I dont have any picture...

Re: deworming nursing cat

it should be fine. Your biggest concern should be roundworm, which is a given in the kittens and suspect in the female of unknown history. The tapeworm is not directly contagious / transferred to the kittens, so the concern there is the nutrition status of the mom and fleas, of course. typically it ...
