Re: Barisone Trial
I started watching the trial and it's stunning. Those two contradicted each other every which way. It's sure looking like those two attacked MB in some way after harassing and setting him up in every which way (including illegal recordings) and she ended up getting shot in the "7 minute" f...

Re: Looking forward to looking forward - March/April Goals and Progress
Finally got to a 2nd show this year. Because we were on lockdown for EHV until the 31st it ended up being really small despite all of the cancelled shows and it being Osinski. They needed temp. checks for two weeks prior recorded, so that's probably why. I didn't sleep much the night before because,...

Me, too! Besides working on my legs, I'm trying to keep my left hip forward and how to do that to fix my swingy changes. I do not know why it works and how to get the feel yet, but when I do it, it works!

khall--I love the in hand work. Just a thought from the other videos--your legs seem too far back on both sides all of the time and stirrups too long. I just got the leg too far back feedback, so have been working on getting both horses more responsive so I don't feel like I need to do that. (A lot ...

I’ll be interested in your results! I have three cushenoid horses on Prascend. In the past I have had good luck with the compounded Pergolide powder which is much cheaper. Unfortunately my compounding source no longer makes it. Also I thought you might be interested. Chasteberry is from the Vitex T...

Me feeding straight ingredients to help . . .
I never like to feed just a bunch of stuff because I don't know what works, so I'm always trying ingredients to see what will work. On my quest to see if maybe Quinn has ulcers/tummy issues (despite being out 24/7 and food all of the time!) and me having a LOT of aloe vera in my yard, I started with...

OMG. Apparently I didn't save my post. Agree, I would add a chain or butt bars. You need to be able to open the door without anyone backing right out. I don't tie my horses. I don't see the point in tying to the side. If you want more room for a slant load, you can leave the divider to the side, but...

Nice, Kyra's Mom! I am now firmly in the do it on the ground camp of training this stuff. It was the only way I really got the Q's to understand lifting the knees for p/p. I am trying to improve Quilla's now and if I use a whip when I ride she does her dramatic stops and refuses to move, and then wa...

I used to use Calf Manna, and I think it's available. That might be a good solution for the older mare, esp. Maybe I'll look into that. I don't think chia seeds are available in bulk.

Re: Alternates to flax?
For many years I fed flax seed oil capsules. I bought them from Costco. It was easier, cheaper and my horses ate them readily. Thanks, but I can't imagine that would be cheaper. It would be about 12 a day, which for the $15 price, only lasts 25 days. Normally the 25 lb stabilized flax I get for $30...

Any suggestions. I've been feeding flax, either whole seed or stabilized ground, for a long time for weight, coat, feet, etc. and think it helps. The prices have gone insane, though. I cannot find the stabilized, which I got a 25 lb bag for $33, and the seed used to be $30 for a 50 lb bag and is now...

Same gait. As a judge and in general most judges know the null spaces and in general will not judge anything there unless you make it a real problem. I've seen judges mark issues on the movement before, after, and ignore it. In general, definitely use that space to do what you need to make your hors...
