Re: Getting Dressage-y in 2023: January-February Goals and Progress
Thanks. Yeah. It's always been BS, but it's just getting out of hand. And I really have done all I can do without a lot of money. Maybe I can make some money off of letting people experience these high level movements on nice horses since I won't have to try to stay AA for champs every two years so ...

Ah, I think I will participate now that I don't have to read pages to catch up. It's been RAINING here!!!!!!!! Whoooo Hoooo! So needed. So, we won't have the "easy" winter of not having to slog through the mud to get the horses and deal with a crowded covered and showing in the rain. SO gl...

Exvet, I had the same issue with the gaping mouth with my older mare when I got her (and a lot more.) I went through every iteration of trying to ke her mouth shout. I finally took off the flash and made the noseband really loose. Now all of my nosebands are like that. I have gone back and forth and...

I just looked into it because we have two young dogs that eat everything. We were OK, but so glad they did it anyway. Like so many things, I can't believe it was a close race, but we're making progress. It feels like a sigh of relief, if not complete relaxation. The getting tRump in jail with all of his family and friends where they belong would be a true sign of progress.

I went through the L program, but auditing is a great idea, as is going to any symposium or scribing. It helps with perspective of riding versus what a judge sees and what you feel. I agree with circles because it makes it less from "here to here" and more about doing it and forcing the inside to collect. Teach "passage/piaffe" in some kind of form, so coming back is more up like that. Think more forward passage. It really depends on the judge, and the trend...

Speed is the enemy of impulsion. Especially with ponies. I think the.most significant detractors for judging at championship shows is order of go.
