Re: General Photography Discussion 2
I took some butterfly photos over the weekend, in my own yard. The first day I spent all of 15 minutes and took about 700 photos...lol. The 2nd day I spent a greater amount of time out, but the butterflies were harder to track and shoot that day, so I only shot around 200. I did NOT upload that man...

I like your pics - they're well composed and they show great expressions. For the pole pics I'd love to try a variation of what you're doing - line up with the poles so they're just barely separated from each other in a line. If the rider is on the right side of the pole, let the rest of the poles l...

Re: Throat bots and how to repel them?
The "regular" bot flies are a very minor annoyance to our horses - they'll swish their tails, but that's the height of it. These throat bots however - - - a whole different story. They don't act that crazy even with the huge big "B52" horseflies. They hate them, but they don't go...

Re: Throat bots and how to repel them?
I don't have a fly mask, and I couldn't find one at the local feed store, either. Going to have to look them up online.
I guess it could help IF you can get it snug enough so the flies can't get under the chin, of course the fringes should help, too.

Throat bots and how to repel them?
A couple of times a year, a period in spring and another in fall, our horses go absolutely nuts in the pasture. They'll typically stand somewhere in a tight group and every so often, one of them has a fit and starts frantically rubbing their throat /chin on another horses back or butt. Then they run...

Our internet is a slowish wireless connection to a tower nearby. I don't have a smart phone, so I only connect through my PC. Your GoPro probably has a waterproof housing, so take it, and try to remember to use it. It also was a very wide angle (you can change that somewhat in the settings), so it will give you more of the view you're about to experience. You can't zoom in to places farther away, however. I'd probably have...

It's a check made by the bank - in a way, one pays the money to the bank, and the bank holds it for the recipient.
It has the receiver's name on it, so if you lose it, basically only the recipient could cash it. It's safer than cash money.

What one makes in stock depends completely on the quality of work you put in. Some people submit 1000s upon 1000s of pics, yet make next to nothing. Some other people submit absolute quality (think images in very high end publications and such), and even with a portfolio of mere 100s of pics they ma...
