Re: General photography related stuff thread

RTR, holy cow on the local gardens. Both Denver and Phoenix BG's allow photography for noncommercial use. I don't recall for Denver what the commercial use cost was (mostly weddings and such). Wonder what the origins of that policy came from. Love the planes!!! (But then again, I am an aircraft junk...

Re: General photography related stuff thread

I'm similar to RTR. I shoot raw and use LR for post. That allows me the flexibility to adjust the various settings to my personal taste (yes, raw will be larger files but there is more info in them to mess with.) As for Nikon, look at ViewNX which is Nikon's free post processing software. It might d...

Re: General photography related stuff thread

Can anyone point me towards so Photoshop / photo editing tips? I'm pretty good at the shooting portion but I think my photos would look much better with some post processing. Do you shoot raw or jpg? What camera? There may be easier tools to post process than PS depending on what type of post- you ...

Re: General photography related stuff thread

RTR - You read my mind... there was such a wealth of information we exchanged OTFB (On The Former Board) that I was sad to loose that connection. Nothing lately as until recently, weather was just too nasty (read that hot) to want to be outside for long. But Wednesday, dragging the D750 with the 70-...

Re: "What's for dinner?"

Sounds yummy - I might have to give this a whirl (as heaven knows I can't do a whole bottle of wine on my own before it goes bad ;) )

Re: Are any of the candidates, either party, electable?

My guess? Both. Firstly, they run from the word like it was a vampire, and hide their heads in the sand. The U.S. is a Republic, fer cryin' out loud, and the president has authority limited both by congress and by the Supremes, so just how awful could a socialist president end up being? Given how E...

Re: "What's for dinner?"

Do you like duck? If so, try a duck in the smoker. My dad used to smoke the most delicious duck using Shiraz. It was ah-mazing. I like duck but the amount of fat has always scared me off of trying it. The Shiraz is a glaze or in the water? (I have a water smoker.) I'll have to see if the Sprouts ha...

Re: "What's for dinner?"

What is it about BBQ chicken that makes it taste so good? Anytime I hear the words BBQ and chicken together, I start drooling..lol. Well, to be honest, this was "fake" BBQ done on the Lodge grill on my gas range. Real BBQ on my grill... can't really say it is the smoke (as it is a propane...

Re: Are any of the candidates, either party, electable?

Nobody knows what it is or nobody knows how it would be implemented...?

For many countries who have tried, their version hasn't done them any good.

Re: "What's for dinner?"

Glad this thread is back :)

Grilled chicken with BBQ sauce.

I still don't like the grill side of my Lodge reversible griddle. The "flat" side is pretty much non-stick but the grill side, not so much :(
