I have to say, I'm disappointed in my Lumiere. I've had it less than a year and the leather is cracking on the cheek pieces and sides of the noseband. Thanks, I will try that. I learned that scapula technique when I did the Masterson weekend seminar, but Annabelle is so musclebound that there is no groove to get into. Oh, and just FYI, did anyone see Natalie Lamping's proposal to allow posting in mediums and exteded's through 4th? I LOVE the idea. I've ridden with Rodriguez twice (once with MM and once with RP). Both times she gave me points comparable but a touch lower than the other judge that weekend. one thing I will also add is that both the eggbutt and the drop noseband are designed to create steadiness. This is great for horses that are fussy in the mouth or green.
