Re: Does your farrier make an appt for the next time?
Mine does not make an appointment for the next time but my farrier is my instructor and my guy is barefoot at the moment. We go 3-4 weeks at this point as his bars grow really fast and affect how he moves. We got on that schedule as we were trying to prevent hoof wall in a specific spot from splitti...

So, I've been reading but not posting. Life is changing and we've became empty-nesters (which took a ton of energy-who knew) and now we are grandparents and, well, lots has been going on. Mikey and I have been playing with XC and more jumping and we did 2 schooling dressage shows. 66% across the boa...

Whew, it's been a while. Been busy with human kids, though not really kids. But enough about that-we were all set to show the middle of June and guess who needed stitches in his knee. Minor injury and no lameness issues but better to take care of it and let it heal. And then we just got back from a ...

Single-jointed D-ring snaffle for my low-paletted, sensitive guy and short POW spurs for dressage and rubber balls for poles/jumping. Sometimes nothing. We put them on in Dec as he was not respecting my leg. I tried the Turtle-top bit but the S is too small and the M is too big so it didn't work. He...
