Don't have the socks, but I do put the thin BOT gloves inside my regular riding gloves.
I have a second pair that I ...like Melody... wear to bed. They are the only thing that keep my hands from aching.

Re: Best winter riding glove
I put the thin BOT gloves inside my Roeckl gloves for riding when the temps are hovering around freezing.
And then they go inside an old pair of nylon Thinsulite SSG' for colder weather.
I find the BOT riding gloves fit small and are not suitable for my fat arthritic fingers.

Yes... too much $$$ for something I know nothing about.
The video makes it look impressive, but as one of my co-workers says... it looks as if that horses' hair is going to just fall out anyway.

Re: Tank de-icers - stray voltage
This happened at a local barn where my guy was used as a schoolie. He would not drink from their auto waterer... he was the only one who would not and he was called 'stubborn' and 'stupid' for not 'figuring it out'. However...I insisted that there was a problem with the waterer and kept insisting un...

Re: Question about Windows 10 (or maybe Fitbit - not sure)
I wear my Flex when riding and yes.... 'steps' are added to my daily count, but I really have no idea how many are 'credited' for each gait. The Flex does not show the step count as they are taken. I have to sync it with my iPad or desktop in order to get my step count. And I really don't check my a...

:) I've been doing 'Pet Therapy' through St John Ambulance for 15 years. Best volunteer job ever. I have had 5 TD's over the years and currently I have two Greyhounds that are Certified, both with Adults and Children. One visits at an Old Age home, as well as a special needs grade 8 class. The other...

Re: Question about Windows 10 (or maybe Fitbit - not sure)
LOVE my FitBit.... I have the Flex. Been using it for nearly 2 years. On my third one....but they do stand behind their products, and although some people would disagree with that, they have been very good to me and a couple other friends. The charge on mine lasts for 5-6 days. If anyone here wants ...

Re: heated gloves?
A friend at my curling club has a pair of battery heated gloves and she loves them. Hers only stay warm for a couple of hours, then they need to be recharged. They do not look sturdy enough for any sort of farm work and they would be too bulky for riding. I have very bad circulation in my hands and ...

Not only is OneTricks' mare at risk, but the colt is, too.
If he tries to mount the mare and she is not receptive he could also get kicked.

Re: Girths...Fairfax v professionals choice
I use the Shoulder Relief Girth from Total Saddle Fit on my chubby 13hh pony.

I tried several things to keep his saddle in the right place ... Thin line/sticky pads, crossing the billets/leather girth/neoprene girth... and the TSF works great.

Great idea. They're all the rage now and said to be meditative. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/col ... 4ba5a6724f
Yes!

Re: Micklem Bridle
I have been using one on my 6 yr old 13hh pony for a few weeks and he loves it. I put his blingy browband from his BR Bridle on it :) The 'Small horse' size fits him perfectly. Most Cob bridles are too long for his face, too big in the noseband and too small in the browband and throatlatch. He likes...
