I'd like to try tai chi, for balance and to help my joints combat age and arthritis. Does anyone know of a good beginning video? I don't want to work from youtube; I want to get my own video and play it on the TV.

Check out Dr. Lam's dvds on Amazon. I haven't used them but had checked into then a while back.

Please update with how they are! I started a Tai Chi class in January, but would like to be able to continue through the summer.

This is an update. I bought 2 of Dr. Lam's Tai Chi for Arthritis DVDs. I thought if they were geared for arthritis then I wouldn't get hurt. I've been doing the 12 lessons but Tai Chi moves slow so learning the moves is a slow process but I LOVE it. To me it seems that my legs will really get strong, my balance will get better, my right knee doesn't hurt going down stairs anymore and it forces me not to multi-task :D.

Not sure if the knee feeling better is from Tai Chi or no fitness walking. I'll update on that after I do a fitness walk tomorrow.

Thank you! I've been thinking about buying his videos, but wanted to hear how you did with them!
