GoPro video footage- bullriding

Postby Racetrackreject » Mon Mar 21, 2016 3:19 pm

I was the photographer at a bull riding finals this weekend, and one of the bullfighters offered to wear my GoPro. Glenn did an awesome job getting footage and I thought that you guys might want to check it out.

This one is "mutton busting" or little kids riding a sheep

This one is a guy named Cross who gets saved by Glenn right in the nick of time

This is my friend and bullfighter Josh getting stepped on a bit.

This is another one of Cross that shows what they do in the chute when they are strapping themselves to the bull

There may be sound. I can't hear it on my work computer, but there normally is sound with gopro footage. I didn't know how to embed the videos, so I hope the links work. They are all public on facebook, until I get my youtube channel set up. Thanks!

I used to dislike bull riding but after watching PBR on TV a few times, I really respect the sport. The bullfighters and their skill and getting in to distract the bull and get the rider off, the bull himself - amazing to watch some of the top bulls really thinking about what they're doing to get the rider off, the rider - those bulls are not easy to ride. I am happy to see the riders wear way more safety gear than they used used (at least PBR). Helmets, flack jackets are all so good at helping protect them.

Thanks!

Yeah, these are all youth riders, so lots of safety gear (although Cross' helmet goes flying off when he hits the bulls haunches). I set up a YouTube channel and I'm uploading more videos to it now. If anyone is interested, I believe this should take you to the channel.
