Disappearing PM?

Postby Red Barn » Fri Oct 16, 2015 6:49 pm

Okay.

For a day or two I wasn't able to compose PMs, but, after a couple of posts, everything seemed to be working fine. I then sent a note to Abby Kogler (Hi Abby!) who'd sent me a nice PM some days back. Funny thing is, all trace of my message have now disappeared. It's neither in my Outbox nor in my Sent box, so . . . did I do something wrong, or is there a glitch in the PM function?

I haven't heard anything about PMs malfunctioning, however, send me a test PM and we can check.

Thanks! I will.

But wait a minute . . . "Pathfinder" . . . isn't there some kind of scandal around you?

Malicious rumor, that. And no PM either.

And no trace in my Sent Box or Out Box.

I figured it was all lies . . . terrible, horrible libelous lies. You should sue. ;)

Very odd. All your permissions seem to be just fine. Can you GET PMs?

Thanks so much!

Just got your PM, Pathfinder, and my reply is currently sitting in my Outbox.

Have fun at the wedding, Chancellor. :D

Hiya RB! Well, I did wonder, but figured we had just grown apart :P

But now I know that there are Disappearing Pms. Well. I have my suspicions!

Will wait anxiously for the update on your boy and on life in general.

We started working on the email stuff this weekend. I *think* we are getting onto getting this fixed. But no promises yet.
As for not being able to compose PMs, I suspect there is some setting somewhere that says you have to have posted some number of posts before beginning to PM. I'll try to find it.

Roni444, you should be all set now. There IS in fact, a setting for that. I've dropped the number to 2. You need to have two posts on the board before you can send a PM.
