I love my pony, first show on the weekend

Postby Shirrine » Mon Nov 23, 2015 6:48 am

This last weekend saw Lewyn and I head for our first show in a year. I had a friend show him for me but I prepared him and took him. I couldn't have done this a month ago. I nearly didn't enter him. I am so glad I did even if the judges weren't nterested in hi,. He worked a treat for his rider, better than could be expected after only 10 rides since June, I lunged him a fair bit to get some fitness in him but he still wasn't in true show condition.

Looking lovely! Can't comment on his fitness level, but he sure looks in show condition to me :D

Your guy is a gorgeous pony! He is a winner IMO for only 10 prior rides!!

Rotund or not, he's adorable and the judges were blind, blind!

How could the judges not be interested in him. Rotound or not, he's a looker.

You guys say rotund like it's a bad thing.

This is a PONY! This is how they should look - cute and cuddly and hairy and comfortable to hug. Whoever dreamed of a pony that looks like a TB in racing condition? Not me, anyway.

Ponies should be as wide as they are tall and have manes and tails and a bit of sparkle in their eye, just like this little fellow. This it be right, as Willem would have said.

Beautiful pictures Shirrine. Congratulations on having the strength to do all the show prep. That is very cool!
