Wow!!! Those photos are amazing. I don't have those sort of colours around here.

In fact, I've been taking pics of blossoms lol. But yep, autumn is certainly beautiful.

These were in the Bennington (VT) Banner and a couple of people posted them on my facebook timeline. These copies look pretty washed out on my computer, but maybe they'll look better on others'.

cheers. I lost my heart for photography when my horse died. No real logic there but a lot of things lost their appeal for a while. It's starting to come back though. :)

Beautiful photos, Teresa! Where are you? Our colors have hardly begun here in lower Michigan; quite late this year.

I live in evergreen forests, so not so much fall, but we are starting to get a little in the hardwoods.

These photos are gorgeous! Well done everyone.

I live in midlands of SC. We had record flooding here a few weeks ago so our trees have no real color. Maybe later?

Teresa, do let us know where that was. Stunning photos from everyone! I hope to visit NC mountains this coming weekend to see some of the colors!

I live in Nova Scotia- the east coast of Canada. The colours have just burst out this weekend.

I haven't really taken many pics this season... nothing that really does it justice...

Teresa, it makes sense. How can you feel artistic when your heart won't sing?

Teresa,

Your first and third photos are spectacular--I don't think I've seen anything even close in decades. You have a fantastic eye!

Astral, that road pic reminds me of a very pretty "walking dead' road.. you know they are always on those roads with trees on either side. Except the trees are always green (no idea if they would be colourful trees).
Gorgeous pics!

Flight that is because TWD is filmed in Ga in the summer, hot and very green. Heck we are still green around here, cutting hay in the last couple of weeks sometimes even into November.

Gorgeous fall colors, ours will come eventually. We have some hickory trees on our farm that are the most glorious golden yellow. Black gums turn a deep red and the sweet gums have lovely color too, only good thing about sweet gums! Our oak and pecan trees not much fall color to them.

Ooooh! You are making me wish I was back up north. Supposedly we have great colors in the Smokies, but this is not a particularly awesome year due to the timing of rain/dry.

I will try to take some shots this weekend when I am out hacking with friends. We have a little color, southern style. But I agree that TeresaA's first and third photos are amazing!! Make me wish I were hardy enough to live in New England.

Gorgeous photos. I miss the autumns of my home state, Michigan. My childhood was blessed with amazing autumn colors. We have four distinct seasons here in Kansas, but the changing of the leaves is lackluster. I don't get it. But I lament it every year.

Yeah we're not seeing great color a little east of you, either. But Asheville was the best part of my drive back east, last November!

I've started this thread in some past years because of living in AZ and having no fall colors. This year I hope to contribute, but so far I have little to show. Although I am hoarding a couple pictures I've taken, which I'll post if the colors don't get more vivid soon.

Colours here haven't been as brilliant as usual. Not sure why, last year was spectacular. Photo from a hack last week.

You guys are too kind. I appreciate your comments. I love fall- it's perfect weather for riding. If I had tons of money I would live in NS for summer and fall and live south for winter/spring.

Our fall colors are pretty much gone up here in the mountains of Utah, so I thought I'd add some of my own...

I'm always envious seeing everyone's colorful fall pics. We get a little bit of color here, but not having trees such as birches and maples leaves all the brilliant yellows and reds out. Our oaks get some red, but it's a dull red at best :(

Keep posting! :)
