Yesterday was Orlando's 50th birthday party. O is the ambassador of the rescue where I volunteer. He believes that all you need is love. And soaked hay cubes. His party made the local paper.

Donkey's 50th birthday party
Re: Donkey's 50th birthday party
Love. Love. Love.
One day I would like to have an Orlando. Knowing how long they live, I'm thinking one that is at least a teenager. And I sure do adore the standard sized ones.

I posted the article on my husband's FB page. He's in love with our donkey and loves to joke that he had to put her in the will because she'll outlive us all.

Suzon, that is excellent!
I'm not sure why I have such a soft spot for them, other than their sheer smarts and survival instinct. They are used a lot around me as protection for cattle and horses from coyotes.
