Hey guys,

I was poking around on a local farm's website and stumbled across a photo of Bliss and I from a show there last year. I had no idea this was out there, but it's my new favourite of us. I'm going to frame it and hang it in the tack room. :)

Hope you all are having a great week!!

He has got a wicked hind leg! Did you do quarter marks or is that his natrual colouring? So lovely :-)

Thanks! I did the quarter marks. :) I did them for most of the shows last year.

But he does also have lovely dapples on his bum early in the season. :)

How special!

Of course, Bliss is looking even more grown up now--so cool.

What a cool photo to stumble across! I found one of me looking like a telly tubby once. Not so good :D

What's on his tail?

Thanks guys. :) It was a lovely surprise for me, that's for sure!!

There were about 7 or 8 photos of us in total... this one was by far the best. ;) The others clearly show the issues we were working through last summer and are nowhere near this nice. But it is a nice reminder of the progress we've made. :)

Flight - I put a red ribbon on his tail to warn other riders not to come near him in the warm-up. This was his 2nd show of the season and because I always ride alone, he still wasn't used to horses being too close in the warm-up. And we'd had an incident at the last show before this where someone wasn't looking where they were going and almost ran into us and Bliss freaked and I almost came off. Since then it hasn't been much of an issue however. :)

I have the same issue with my horse. I ride by myself so he's had very little exposure to riding around other horses, so hasn't got his first clue that he's not allowed to interact with them the way he would if he was on his own. I've been slowly introducing him to the idea, but because I still ride mostly by myself I haven't actually made much progress with it.

Thanks guys! :)

Paula - he's a German Hanoverian... He was 5 in the photo but he's 6 now. He's by Belissimo M out of an Autocrat mare. He's also the poster boy for the forum for June. ;)
