Cantering video

Hope this works. I cantered last lesson, and again last night so I made the trainer do a video. Over the years I've been told how horrible my position is in the canter. Well, those people were wrong! I'm obviously not CdJ but I'm not too shabby, plus I have become a hunter princess. The saddle is too small and I hate it (hence looking for an a/p saddle that fits me), and yes, my upper body needs to be stiller, but all in all I am extremely happy.

Raaats! Video didn't come up. Oh well, I'll take your word for it. So happy for you that you found a horse to love (even if it's only part time.) Lol

What a lovely canter you ride has, you looked quite secure and rhythmic!

I'm happy for you that you can see the truth - not shabby at all! And being a good hunter-princess-canter-rider is a good foundation for looking to be mistaken for Charlotte! I was a hunter princess before turning to dressage, and when the going got tough, without meaning to, I would default to hunt seat. The result was that I didn't get all discombobulated and stressed, so it was easier to go back to dressage land in a few strides, or after stopping and starting again, than I think it would have been if the canter just got horrible. The horse stayed more relaxed, too.
