Google maps ... how to acquire high rez image?

Postby Woost2 » Thu Nov 05, 2015 3:26 pm

Anyone know how to make a google maps satellite shot good enough for a photograph? 8 x 10 would be great.

My sister, BIL and I are in the latest shot of our cottage. Kayaking. It would be great fun to have the photo. Intellectual property notwithstanding.

Have a discussion with the US Govt. The reason you can't get a hi res image is because the data feeds are deliberately fuzzed out a little bit for security reasons.

The last shot of our house had my mom riding the arena - I always thought that would have been cool to frame :)

Google Earth Pro, you can download a high res. I have it and can download it and email it to you, if you'd like
