Can someone identify the craft that involves scissors and paper and generates a stencil like image? The motif is often tree of life with forest animals. I'd like to find a piece on Etsy, etc. for a small spot on a wall.

I googled cutwork/paper lace and pulled images of needlework. Not sure if that's what you were thinking (?). This has more of a primitive folk art quality to it, I'll try to find an image. It is reminiscent of the paper snowflakes you create from a folded piece of paper. I worked with a woman who had an incredibly complex and beautiful piece over her desk, her mother had done it (which kept me from making an offer for it). That was many years ago, though.
