It's an old photo from film from an disposable camera, but it's always heart warming. Thomas was caught in snare as a youngster. I loosened her but mom never returned so I have fluids etc. By the time she was well enough to leave, she chose not to.
However a tame cheetah in sheep country is dangerous for the cheetah so I found a reserve that was working on reintroducing cheetah to the wild and tearfully turned her care over to them.
About six years later I returned and she recognized me and brought her cubs to meet me.
Anyway. Thomas and her cubs.

Here's a kokanee salmon from our fishing trip in September. The river was red with them, this one was in a side stream.

And yes, that is all hair, no fur. It grows all the time but doesn't shed.

My maternal grandmother on the left. My Aunt Ruby on the right. Man #1 is probably Antonio Nunez Jimenez. Man #2 is you guessed it.

My mother, her older sister (my aunt), and my grandmother. My mother died a little over two years ago at age 97. My aunt turned 103 on January and still has all her marbles and is in darned good health.

My grandparents lived in Cuba. There were a few years after Castro took power that Americans were still in Cuba and still owned property. My grandfather saw the writing on the wall and was trying to move his rum business to Brazil and left my grandmother in charge of the properties in Havana. I imagine that she ran into Che and his #2 in a restaurant somewhere in Havana.
