Houston folks, how are you?
Thinking of you with the latest deluge. Hope you and yours are safe.

My travel plans must be cursed. I was in Calgary during the June '13 floods, for example. And now I'm still waiting for a flight that can take me back home-- although it looks like I've finally got one.
Luckily for me and mine, we got minimal rain. My heart goes out to those on the east side of the city that saw 25-40" of rain in 2 days.

Mom lives in Pasadena and according to her report, got 12" of rain. Not sure over how many days . Her house must be covered by an invisible umbrella--she was high and dry during Harvey, too. Hoping to avoid any more tropical systems in her vicinity until after she is securely relocated out to our neck of the woods, hopefully sometime before Thanksgiving.

Fingers crossed for everyone!
Yes, location matters tremendously with this kind of rain + flooding.
