Not new (apparently it came out 3 yrs ago... jeez time flies)-- but for a feel-good no-drama horse movie, I loved Down The Fence:

Tuffytown has a connection to this ^ one!
The Rider is a terrific movie too, with a family of "non actors" doing an amazing job. It's very powerful, not light fare.
