Sad News--Rockabilly

Postby mld02004 » Sat Feb 26, 2022 8:28 pm

Our own Rockabilly has crossed the rainbow bridge. She passed on Thursday.

While I never met her in person, she and I were email "pen pals" for nearly 20 years, starting on the UDBB.

I am really at a loss for words. She was such a kind soul and a good friend. I will miss her terribly, as I imagine many of you will as well. I hope she is reunited with Billy and Buck, and her other beloved horses and dogs.

How very sad:(. I know her most recent post had spoken of her health challenges. How sad that she was not able to overcome them. RIP Rockabilly

This was a shock to wake up to and so very sad. I do hope that her family finds peace and like the rest am sure she has a herd waiting with wagging tails and nuzzling muzzles on the other side. Godspeed Rockabilly.

RIP Rockabilly. I always thought if I came back as an animal it would be one of Rockabilly's. She was totally dedicated to her critters.
So sad to hear of her passing.

Here's the thread where Rockabilly let us know she was in trouble, health wise. It's heartbreaking.

This kind of news always hits me hard. I didn't know her. I just read her posts and felt her love for her once in a lifetime horse. She had so many qualities that I wish I had. A true Lady.

I saw this on FB. She was a truly kind, generous, and good person, I have memories around my house of her and we make her cinnamon roll recipe at least 3x a year. My heart hurts for her husband. Sending him so peace and comfort and love. She was one of a kind. I hope she's riding Billy again.

Rockabilly felt like such a constant on all the different Dressage boards these last 20 years. Hard to think how anyone like this can leave, her wisdom felt timeless. I guess we forget that we all move on, it always comes as a shock.

I honor any person who can make a good cinnamon roll <3
