So.....Can we attach pictures into our message? Is there a maximum size? Or do we have to go through a secondary site like photobucket?
Please help the helpless

For the moment, a secondary site. Not sure if that will change

Yes, you can attach photos. There is an Attachments tab in the Full Editor & Preview mode.

That is awesome! Thank you, I doubt I would have figured that out on my own, and photo bucket is being rotten!

None of my files will attach, but then I couldn't attach any for the last few months at UDBB either.

It has said a lot of mine are too large, which is odd as they are on my cellphone and no where near as large as their original format when they came off my camera!

I have been trying to upload some photos but get the file too large message also. I uploaded a couple to UDBB the day before it shut down and they went through without a problem. so i just did a test and tried to upload the same photos that went on UDBB but i got the file too large message this time.

I am going to shut down my computer completely, go ride my horse, and then reboot and try again.

If you are trying to upload big pictures from cell phones, you can download an app to shrink/resize your pictures and do that first, then the resized smaller image should upload. I have a free app called Image Shrink Lite on my android, for example.. different types of phones would have other options I'm sure.

On UDBB, the file size for attachments was capped at the default size suggested by the software. I believe it's the same here. I can't remember how big was "too big", but I think it was something like 1.5 mB??

I'll try to look into this. But it probably won't be by the time demi has ridden her horse and re-booted unfortunately.

Ooh. You can upload, I had to resize. Photobucket might have been easier

Well, my quick and dirty attempt at posting photos. No, no horses unless you consider horsepower is related :)

Spent the morning at Phoenix International Raceway watching an "open" practice session and messing with my D750 + 70-200mm lens.

Took a guess at -2.0 exposure compensation. Challenging for sure. Started at about 9:30am on the north side of the track (so shooting into the sun and sun moving toward midday). I had to turn off AF as you get to shoot through the catch fence.

One of the things I like about this track is the setting up against the Estrella Mountains...

On the track were the 1, 2, 17, 20, 24, 31, 41, 78, unnamed TRD Camry and unnamed Chevy SS.

Arrgggghhhh-- I wish I knew what the max file size was.

I'm down to 450K and it still won't import and it's getting hard to make the photos smaller without creating a file that is too large to hold all the pixels.

I kept shrinking one I wanted to upload and finally just edited it down to 124K and it uploaded. So I don't really know what the max is, but maybe less than 150 or 200K?

Chisamba's pic is 238 k and made it. I resized mine to less than 200 and got them onto the "Tell us about YOU" thread.

Arrgggghhh - but when I try the export in LR with 72 dpi and max file size of 250k LR won't make the file, says that the image is larger than can fit in the file size limit. I don't know what else to do in LR to make the output JPG "smaller".

And the last one that didn't seem to want to get added... I guess you'd have to be a bit into motorsports and/or love the starkness of the desert but I like both :)
