This totally stinks. Tornados one day, 3" of snow the next. https://www.facebook.com/10303479641075 ... 834037578/

I hope you guys are all ok. We had a little bit of rain and a whole lot of wind, but nothing too bad for the most part. The worst part was the 80% humidity and 80 degree weather. Of course it's now in the 40s!!

The worst of the tornados was 7 miles from where my horses are boarded. So the "family" is safe but there is lots of destruction nearby and too much (but surprisingly wasn't more) loss of life.

We wait now to see if we get any of the snow/ice.

I'm in Irving; horses are in Rockwall.

A couple of sleepless nights here in Cen Texas, but other than gale force winds and cold, and a slight dusting of snow, so far so good. My old guy is out in his pasture during the day with blankie and fly mask (as goggles!), already rolling in freezing mud, loving it. My chooks, however, are getting tired of living in the barn. I'm afraid they'd blow away in this wind. Hoping for sun tomorrow.

Fly mask as goggles cracks me up. Would those be called hoggles? (there are goggles for dogs called doggles).

Prayers and jingles that everyone (2 and 4 legs, including chooks) stays safe.

Little bit of snow and now freezing rain here. Will my three come in? Not at last check - well, they did when I called and had treats. Beasts!
