Wow, the Duchess of Rutland was harassed by a local gardener, a woman, who was sure there were plans for a Capability Brown design for the entire Rutland estate. Sure enough, after years of being hectored by this local gardener, the Duchess invited her over for a look-see in the Belvoir Castle archives and, sure enough, the two women found the overall landscape plan for the heart of the estate by Capability Brown. It's an amazing video story about a garden design that was completed in 1780 or so and will not be begin to be executed until the present day. The Duchess is a joy to listen to her interest in finalizing this process. It's a beautiful program. Enjoy.
