UPDATE: This little man went to his new home on Wednesday. New mom is an experienced pig owner and L'il Orphan Hammies chimed in with feeding instructions, so he'll get the best care. Can't wait to see rehab pics of the little guy! I so wanted to take him myself. But Hooray for a great home!!!!
_____________
Anyone have a space in their backyard for a piggy? Said to be small, very friendly, and was bred by the same people who bred Hilary. His peeps are moving to the East Coast. I was contacted by L'il Orphan Hammies to go evaluate him, which I will do this week. Let me know if you're interested.

Re: Bay Area Pig Lovers
Bumping this back to the top with pictures.
This is Keiki. He's 9 and comes from the same breeder as Hilary (pig I rescued last year). I would not be surprised if he's a full brother. His current "parents" have relegated him to a pen in the back yard where he is ignored. They are moving and what to get rid of him. They obviously believed the line "don't feed him much and he'll stay small" because he is stunted and underweight. If you can give this piggy a loving home, please contact me. They say he's 32 pounds and he'd definitely not more than about 40. He should be 50-60 pounds anyway (he probably "should" have topped 100 if he'd been fed correctly from birth).

To anyone following this. I think we have a home for the little guy. We'll try to get it all coordinated tomorrow.

Re: Bay Area Pig Lovers
Keiki will go to live with a lovely family in Moraga (over the hills from here). They already have one older female pig who was a rescue, so he'll have piggy company (after owning a lone pig, I'm convinced they should never be alone). He'll be transported on Wednesday and I'll go over next week to trim his feet. Will report back later.
