I have the opportunity to ride a horse while Lad is undergoing his treatment for EPM. The horse is older and has not had a lot of work due to his owner's illness. Do any of you have experience with horses with sway backs? Anything I can do for this guy as he gets back to light work? I have a nice thick sheepskin half pad and I've heard carrot stretches and back lifts can help.

Sounds like you're doing the right thing. Do you know if he was like this in his younger days too?

No, I don't, but I am going to ask. I know the answer to that question will change the picture a little bit.

I don't know if Kathy Johnson reads here, I'm not sure I've ever seen her post in this forum - she is active on the Training Forum. I seem to remember her rehabilitating an Arab mare that was sway backed, you may look for advise there.
