Somewhere on the other side of the world, a young woman is facing a very difficult day as I celebrate the best day of my life. Fourteen years ago today, my wonderful, beautiful, talented, caring, sensitive, thoughtful son was born in Seoul, South Korea. He couldn't be anymore my son if I had carried him inside me; I can't imagine loving anyone the way his dad and I love him. We are so blessed.
I thank his birth mother every night for her courageous decision and hope somehow she knows how much he is loved and what a wonderful young man he is becoming.
I know you remember "the" picture of our Gotcha! moment, so I won't torment you with that, but this is his first birthday picture, wearing the traditional Korean clothing a friend bought for him:

(and yes, he is taller than I am!!)
I know all mothers love their sons, but oh my goodness - I'm just bursting with it
