Another Chestnut Newcomer
Since we are sharing news of additions to the family, I'd like to introduce Cassidy! She's a 6 year old ranch bred quarter horse mare. She pretty much stood in a field for over a year before I got her, and had very little training prior to that. Can you say green, green, green? Green to the bit, doesn't know forward, doesn't steer, etc.
She is super sweet, and doesn't have a mean bone in her body. In the few rides I've had on her she has never offered to buck or anything troubling. She loves to be brushed and fussed over.
I wasn't in the market for a horse, our paths just happened to cross. I'm not sure what my plans are for her. Trail riding for sure.

Cute, Sunshine!
You have to give me her pedigree, though, you can't just tease me You can PM me if you want.

Yep, I am a sucker for a terrific hip, too. I love her, Sunshine!
Re: Another Chestnut Newcomer
What can I say, I love quarter horses. I love mares. And I love a strong, solid hind end. Your new horse “has it all”!
Re: Another Chestnut Newcomer
Oooh, she's beautiful. Yup, strong hind end and gorgeous dapples. Have fun!

Do you know how hard you (Sunshine2me, Chatal, KathyK, Straightforward) are making this? I want another one.
Mind you, I can't even ride the one I have currently due to my surgery but damn...I want a horse that isn't white .
She is a brick house! Very nice girl. Enjoy.

He is nice...about a hand taller than I can handle. With all my infirmities, mounting Kyra has been a challenge with a 3-step mounting block. I would need a ladder with him . I do like him though.

Smitten is awesome, awwww! She's adorable, and probably going to be smitten with you too.
Re: Another Chestnut Newcomer
She's a cutie! It looks like you and I are in a similar horse/level of training situation. Will be interested in hearing how you two progress!
