I'll contribute a recipe! Made these last week and they are GOOOOOOOD.
Maple Pecan Cookies
1 cup butter - softened
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 large eggs
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1 cup chopped pecans
FOR ICING:
1 stick butter
1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons maple syrup
2 tablespoons heavy cream
pecans for decorating
Preheat oven to 350
In a large bowl, mix butter and sugars until smooth.
Add vanilla and eggs, beat until combined.
Then add flour, baking soda and salt and mix until just combined. Fold in chopped pecans.
Spoon tablespoons of dough onto parchment paper-covered baking sheet, bake until golden (10-12 minutes). Let cool.
Make icing - beat butter until smooth and fluffy, add powdered sugar and mix until combined. Add maple syrup and heavy cream and beat until creamy. If frosting is too thin, add a little more powdered sugar.
Frost cookies. Add one pecan piece to top of each cookie.

Re: Maple Pecan Cookies
Oooh, I made a maple pecan cheesecake for Thanksgiving, but I might have to make these and bring to the barn next week. Thanks!
Keep calm and canter on.
