I hate it when I'm having a meal at a restaurant and they start clearing places before everyone's done eating.

Oh me too! This is another reason why I love spending time in France. Restaurant service is so clear, consistent and polite compared to the US---whether one is at a little village bistro or starred restaurant.

I am perplexed by someone being described as n "years young." I recently read that Queen Elizabeth is "93 years young." So silly and condescending. It's even worse when someone is trying to unload a senior horse and refers to it in the ad as "22 years young." Right. Now I can overlook all the potential issues with a 22 year-old horse, because is isn't 22 years old, it's 22 years YOUNG!

I hate it when sales ads say "takes a joke". The horse does not have a sense of humor. If you want to say the horse is forgiving, then just say that--it's definitely not laughing about, nor is any rider messing up because they think it's funny.
